Starting in January, we shall be follow the 'Everybody Welcome', 'the course where everybody helps grow their church'.
This course encourages and challenges every member of the church to look anew at what it means to be a welcoming, embracing community. It gives simple and practical advice on how to grow any church.
There are four group sessions, a DVD to help with the discussions, and some helpful checklists, so that everybody can play their part in helping us to be more welcoming to newcomers and visitors.
At the end of March, some of our young people will be taking part in Slum Survivor. Adults from Church are strongly encouraged to join this experience. 'Get together with some mates from your church and spend a few days like a billion spend a lifetime. Build your own temporary settlement outside (or inside) your church and live there for a weekend, eating a limited diet and undertaking real life challenges. Raise money and awareness for Soul Action projects that work in some of the poorest communities in the world. '
