community involvement
St. Andrew's Church plays an active part in the community life of Goldsworth Park. We are visible in many ways, and seek to make the most of our location.

During the summer, we worship together outside.

On Palm Sunday, we follow Harry the Donkey, as we recall Jesus' journey into Jerusalem in the week before his death.
St. Andrew's also plays its part in the Goldsworth Park Remembrance Sunday Service. This annual event draws together many friends and neighbours, the Goldsworth Park Guides and Scouts, and relatives of those whose names are recorded on the Slocock's War Memorial Tablets.
We have good links with both Sythwood & Beaufort Primary Schools. The Beaufort Christmas event takes place in St. Andrew's building, and pupils from both schools visit as part of their normal education curriculum.

The Lakeview Estate, a community of 750 homes, is a significant part of Goldsworth Park. The Lakeview Community Action Group, a small local charity, employs Andrew Hargreaves and Lisa Maclean as the Community Devlopment Team. Several members of St. Andrew's Church are invloved in the running of LCAG.
